On June 26, people of conscience in the Poconos will join communities nationwide in a Vigil called Disappeared in America, to help raise awareness about the disappearances, detentions and deportations being conducted by the government without due process.

For our quiet and peaceful vigil, we will gather in Stroudsburg at the corner of Main and 8th Street, and each hold a poster with an image of a person who was been disappeared or deported. We will then slowly walk and stand on the sidewalk along Main Street towards 6th Street.

We will be mourning the personal loss of these individuals, their families and communities, and mourning the great loss that is felt across America - the loss of basic humanity and morality which could not be more evident in the actions being taken by the administration and their accomplices.
